Spring 2008

Yet again, the spring comes closing in, the motorbikes come out of the garages, and washing time begins. It really pays off to wash the Rocket III, dont you agree ?

A small update

There hasn't been too many trips on the Rocket III this summer, mostly because of the weather but also I've been needing parts to my dear old Yamaha Super Tenere, XTZ 750, and I really want to ride with my fiancee and both of our kids.

We did though go for a short trip on a very enjoyable roads, curvy, green, sunset and everything else you can imagine. If I hadn't had this hangover though...

The Super Tenere has cooked atleast 3 batteries over the last 2 years and I finally figured out why, the reason was the regulator/rectifier was broken and was loading 18+ volt onto the battery on 5000rpm+.

Surfing the web turned up http://www.wemoto.com from were I ordered parts. The parts arived very timely but the regulator was of the wrong type, I contacted support with the order-number and within a hour I got a response. I sent back the two reg/rects. and again very timely the correct reg/rects. arrived of correct type. I even got new brakepads as a compensation. Greats site, great support which I really recommend.

We're definitely going for a ride this autumn, enjoying the beautiful colors in Stockholm area, having a hot coffee/cocoa whatever :-)

This is the day I turned 40 (I'm the one in the middle!), the other guys are my kids, Askur 12½ and Embla 10½. Posted by Picasa

Koh Lanta, Thailand, 2005. We took a walk in the woods to look up this waterfall, the waterfall wasn't that big, but the trail that lead us to it was an experience in it self. Posted by Picasa

Embla loves animals, even squirrels :-) Posted by Picasa

We had lunch at a place with great view, but we spent more time playing with this squirrel-kitten than enjoying the view. Posted by Picasa

Askur riding a small motorbike (110 cc) on his own for the first time. He is a natural, I was just walking along for safety. Embla drove by her self as well, but I guess she needs a couple of years before I stop worrying. No she didn't fall, she just wasn't focusing. Askur was very focused, he made a left turn, a right turn, used the blinkers and the horn.Posted by Picasa

Family picture taken in the november 2005. Koh Lanta, Thailand. We were having a sunset drink/beer/coke. The sunset wasn't that great this evening but some other nights we had great sunsets without any clouds at all on the horizon... Posted by Picasa

Hjärtervägen, Trångsund, Sweden, December 2005. Our apple tree! Believe me, this tree is full with apples in august/september every year. Now, it's full of snow and I bet it's freezing its ass off! One more winter to go... Posted by Picasa

Hjärtervägen when you look to the left from our house. December 2005. The snow is still hanging in the trees, it was about -10- -12 degrees Celsius. Posted by Picasa

Christmas time in Trångsund 2005. The white house behind the cas is our house. The little one in front of the car is just a fun house for our children, mostly used during the summer. Posted by Picasa
